Orc Survival Game Jam Update just Released! - The update adds a few new features and more than a few bug fixes that were unable to be completed in the original Game Jam.

Orc Survival is a top down 2D survival game originally made for the Coco Code Game Jam #1 2025.

You play as an Orc trying to survive in a poisonous land following the demise of the Demon Lord.

At present the game is a "game jam game", with a few minor bugs and a need for refinement.

Your objective as a player is to explore the world to find resources to be able to craft items to help make it easier to survive.  Items can be crafted and food can be eaten at your home, and based on what you've eaten, you can recover through sleeping.  If you haven't eaten however, your health and stamina will drain when you sleep.

Controls are:

WASD to Move

TAB to open Inventory

F to interact

R to Use Item

Planned Updates:

• GameJamUpdate - Completing planned scope for Game Jam.
• CombatUpdate - Improving combat mechanics, and including new combat related items.
• CraftingUpdate - Improving UI, Inventory and Crafting Systems.
• WorldUpdate - Currently planned to expand game and add new content, turning the game in to a more complete game.  (This might be split into multiple updates depending on progress)

For all updates, until the World Update, the game will only be for Web Play.  On completion of the World Update, the Web Play version will be updated to be a demo of the full game which will be a downloadable game.

If anyone has any feedback they would like to give on the current state of the game, please feel free to let me know.  Through the updates I would like to obtain feedback on any potential improvements or bug fixes that might be required.
